About the Design
Designed for the Barn at Home Farm, a soaring space defined by its timber-beamed roof and full-height window, the rug reflects the architecture and quiet rhythms of the interior through a subtle linear relief reminiscent of timber joinery, raked earth, and shifting light. Inspired by the restrained line work of Agnes Martin, each line is wire-cut by hand to create a quiet textural rhythm across the surface.
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
The John Pawson collection of rugs for Elte draws deeply for its inspiration on the architect’s own home in the Oxfordshire countryside – from the warm tone of its stone, to the geometries of its timbers and brickwork. The collection is also a profound expression of Pawson’s longstanding preoccupation with rhythm, repetition, pattern and texture.Product Details
